I whas wondering how do I get my Company Information in Windows Vista. So my custumors can read my adress and phone number and my Company logo. At the System Statics. If someone has a directory or screenshot how to do it. I would be pleased. Greetings, Jaawii Recommended: Free Performance Scan! - Free System Scan! - Free Driver Scanner! |

Not sure how to do it Vista, but heres how you do it in XP, maybe similiar, don't have Vista installed at the moment to test
You go to the System Properties screen and you noticed that Dell or Gateway or whoever has labeled your version of XP. Here's how to easily edit this information. 1. Click Start 2. Click Run 3. Type this in the run box: c:\Windows\System32\oeminfo.ini Something like this should open in notebook: [Version] Microsoft Windows Whistler Edition WinVer=5.01 [General] Manufacturer=vpr Matrix ™ Model=Personal Computer SupportURL=http://matrixsupport.net LocalFile=c:\matrixsupport\file.html [Support Information] Line1="Visit us online or call our toll-free Customer Support number 24/7!" Line2="http://www.vprmatrix.com" Line3="(800)332-4800 in the USA and Canada." Line4="" Although I wouldn't play with anything under the version section, you can edit the information in the other sections. You can edit anything to the right of the = sign. Save it before you exit notepad and you'll be set. You can also edit the bitmap that will be displayed on this screen by changing this file: c:\Windows\System32\oemlogo.bmp It must be 172 X 172 pixels in size. -------------------- Recommended: Free Performance Scan! - Free System Scan! - Free Driver Scanner! |

The file you save it as is NAME.reg, once done double click on file, Windows will ask "DO you want to add this to the registry" click "Yes", then reboot your computer, and check to see if all is OK

Line4="" The solution for oeminfo in Vista works fine, but I would like to add somewhere the section support information which in XP enabled me to write a custom message. I've read something about creating a help page in Vista, but haven't seen a manual for it. Can someone fill me in? Recommended: Free Performance Scan! - Free System Scan! - Free Driver Scanner! |
