Product recovery CD

  1. Insert the product recovery CDROM into the drive and restart the unit
  2. Press F12 to open the bootup menu and select the CD-ROM (using the up and down keys) and then Enter
  3. When prompted, press any key to boot from CD. (After a few minutes, the Welcome to Setup screen is displayed.)
  4. Press enter to continue. (A Licensing Agreement screen is displayed.)
  5. Press f8 to accept the agreement and continue. (The Setup window is displayed.)
  6. Press esc to continue installing a fresh copy of the operating system.
  7. Press enter to set up the operating system.
  8. Press C to continue setup using this partition.
  9. Select Format the partition using the NTFS file system (Quick), then press enter. (A caution is displayed. The caution explains that formatting this drive will delete all current files.)
  10. Press F to format the drive. (The reinstallation process begins.)
  11. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete reinstallation of the operating system. This may take up to approximately one hour.

Drivers and Utiltiy DVD

To install all the necessary drivers follow these instructions:

  1. Close any programs that you are using then insert the Drivers and Utility DVD into the drive and allow the DVD to autorun. 
  2. On the left-hand menu click on DeskUpdate then Automatic driver installation (Express)
  3. A new window will open.  Click on Start installation then I agree to confirm that you agree to the licence agreement.
  4. Click OK.  The driver installation will begin.
  5. After installation is complete you will be prompted to restart your computer.
