One feature of Windows 7 is that it gives you control over power settings through its power plans.

We were not that impressed with Vista's options and found little difference between the balanced and high performance plans.

Windows 7 appears to have got rid of high performance, which could be a good thing. There was no real benefit running in high performance mode and balanced could hep save power, resulting in a longer battery life for laptop users, and hopefully money off the electricity bill.

And here's an idea: new browsers that start the process of downloading a page when the cursor hovers over a link. Try this by installing the Fasterfox add-on for Firefox.

Well so far, nothing worked on it as my windows explorer is still crashing when ever I try and view the contents of one of my HDDs.

happened to me once, turned out to be a loose connection to the hard drive, run a test on the hard drive thats causing the problem using manufacturers diagnostic tool, they all provide them
