There are plenty of weather widgets for Vista's Sidebar, but few are as comprehensive as the aptly name Proweather.

Set it to your home town (be it in the UK or anywhere else in the world), and the widget will display the current weather conditions.
... Give the widget a click with your mouse, and a whole host of extra information is displayed.
...... Everything from wind speed, pressure, UV index and the chance of rain is covered.

I must confess, I have never belied the weather forecasts in this country.

They are always so ambiguous - 'Today will start off cloudy (they're looking through the window) but later, there is the possibility of rain showers with the occasional bursts of sunshine.' Whatever happens, they can always say I told you so.
